Floating Bat 1

(14 customer reviews)

Solar Bat announces, after over 12 months in development, the FLOATING BAT 1.  This sunglass design was inspired by the many request received from our customers for a sunglass that will float.  Solar Bat did not want a sunglass with a bobber or air cell built into the temple, nor did we want a lanyard with a bobber incorporated to make a sunglass float.  Solar Bat wanted a very conventional and stylish in appearance sunglass that would FLOAT.  Kayaking, kayak fishing, as well as kayak tournaments are gaining in popularity by leaps and bounds.  What does a kayaker need that Solar Bat did not already have, a FLOATING sunglass.  Do you like to relax by floating a scenic river, then this FLOATING sunglass is for you.  The FLOATING BAT 1 is available in all the Pro Edition lens tints that will improve visual performance on the water no matter the light conditions.  When navigating shallow water it is a must to see what is beneath the surface and that simply is not possible without wearing a pair of quality polarized sunglasses.  Improve your performance on the water whether you are kayaking, canoeing, or boating simply for enjoyment, or aggressively fishing in a tournament by wearing the FLOATING BAT 1.  See underwater features, protect your eyes and do not worry about loosing your sunglasses overboard.  What more could you ask for in a sunglass?

These are my favorite pair to wear !!!!! They hold to my face well. I can turn around when driving the boat down the lake and don’t have to worry about them falling off. They also fit my face will so the light doesn’t come in from the sides.

  2. Nick Guerrero

Great comfortable sunglasses with a great look! I’m starting with the mossback gradient lens for the two tones. I use both shades to my advantage throughout the day! Best sunglasses on the market for under 100 bucks

  3. Will mcnutt

These are my favorite pair of glasses. They fit snug enough to not worry about them falling off but also are comfortable to wear from sun up to sun down. I wear the mossback green lenses that allows me to see into the water during the moat conditions. Great glasses at a great price!

  4. Rich Harris

Absolutely love these glasses…I purchased 3 pairs in different colors and polarization and they are comfortable and very clear when looking into the water….wouldn’t buy any other brand….

  5. Andy Bushman

Very comfortable and stylish. I wear these all day on the water while I guide on Lake Michigan. They provide great protection against sun and glare!

  6. Cary Marsalis

I was looking for something different to keep in my wife’s car. I found it with the Aaron Martens 100 1 White. I love the white frame. It gives it a different look than the typical dark frame most manufacturers have. The fit is every bit as good as any sunglasses you will ever find. It retains the top quality that Solar Bar is known for. Great pair!

  7. Sean place

Recently bought these glasses with mossback lenses, can’t say how impressed I am! These glasses make it so much easier to see further into the water. They sit comfortably around on my head unlike some glasses that start to bother the sides of my head. Honestly really great glasses!!

  8. Nathan Reno

I love these glasses the Aaron Martens 1001’s are the best pair of Polarized Fishing Sunglasses I’ve ever owned. I have the gray lenses so it filters all light equally. From sunrise to sunset I can see everything I need to see in the water when I’m fishing,I also use these glasses at work outside when I’m working in the parking lot or in the cages they fit my face perfect do not allow light to come through the sides and protect my eyes from any flying debris I might encounter at work.

  9. Kyle Schauf

Wrap lens frames and wide ear bands make these one of my favorite pair of polarized fishing sunglasses to wear for sight fishing. The frame is snug fit and low profile so I can wear a standard curved brim baseball cap with no issues or added tension to my face / head..

  10. Travis Clemen

Best polarized fishing glasses made. They fit really good, not to tight not to loose. I don’t go anywhere without my solar bats.

This is about the only I wear for polarized Sunglasses. I am amazed the difference they make on the water. The first time I wore them it was a windy and sunny day out, I could see submerged grass clumps. I took off the glasses and couldnt see the submerged grass and was blinded by the sun’s reflection off the water.

Awesome sunglasses! Great optics, great style and made in America !!!! Very happy with my purchase

  13. Jason Penrose

I bought these in April of 2018. One year later in the spring of 2019 the rubber/plastic synthetic material has rotted and kind of melted away on the frames. My three star rating is due to the great lenses. The Mossback lenses are a must when fishing.

  14. Mark Burks

I recently got my pair of Aaron Martins 1001 with the Mossback Green Gradient lenses. I had high expectations for these sunglasses, and they exceeded them! The gradient lenses are like having two pair of polarized sunglasses. The darker Mossback Green is outstanding for the bright days, and when clouds roll in, or you hit a shady area of the lake or river, a mere tilt of your head, and the hi-con yellow lower portion comes into play. This is a definite must when fishing from a kayak where space is limited.
