Jay “Jaybird” PerkinsUSAF (Ret) – USN (Civ)
Jaybird, Platinum Level Pro Staff at Solar Bat Sunglasses is in charge of establishing and managing a U.S. Navy Pro Staff as well as the Mid-Atlantic Pro Staff Division. Jaybird served in the U.S. Air Force from September 1985 to April 2011 serving a total of 25 ½ years retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant from Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley AFB, VA where he was the Command Armament Systems Manager for all B-1 & B-2 bomber aircraft in the Air Force inventory.
Upon retirement from the Air Force, he was hired into the Department of the Navy into Naval Acquisition Life Cycle Logistics supporting Navy Fleet advanced programs as a Special Projects Assistant Program Manager, Logistics (APML) from NAS Patuxent River, MD, the Pentagon, and Arlington, VA, where he continues to work as an APML Civil Servant for the Navy today.
Jaybird is an active tournament bass fisherman with American Bass Anglers (ABA); Professional League and Military Team Bass Tournament as well as maintains an active membership with Fishers of Men Tournament Trail.
